Abstract: Zooplankton production in newly constructed fish pond fertilized with Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (N: P: K) and urea fertilizer were compared with unfertilized ponds. Zooplankton production was significantly more (P ≤ 0.05) in fertilized system than in the unfertilized systems. The Zooplankton fauna was generally dominated by rotifers and copepods. Also the fertilization had no significant effect (P ≤ 0.05) on the water chemistry.
